Settling In

The class seem to be settling in very well, and are working well together. Everyone seems to be enjoying our class novel, "Pippi Longstocking." We had some interesting reactions from the children when I read that Pippi is only nine years old and lives all alone. Some children gasped with shock, while others smiled and said, "Cool!" We discussed what some of the advantages and disadvantages of being a child who lives alone might be. You might be relieved to know that the most outrageous thing the children thought they would like to do was .... put chocolate on their toast!!!!
